My comments on tutoring Genetics : BS Biology and held NC teaching certificate for 4 years prior to changing fields. Genetics course work included both Genetics and Cytogenetics. Worked in college as a laboratory assistant for three years.

My teaching style varies to the student. I first try to asses prior knowledge and comprehension through general questions. Once this has been established, I use examples, visual aids, and verbal communication to better illustrate the topic at hand. Everyone has different learning styles. Therefore, it is vital to teach using the most appropriate style for the individual.
Served over three years as laboratory assistant while attending Greensboro College. Duties included teaching small groups as well as entire laboratory on occasion. My most recent job was as a nursery caregiver at a church, where I was also a teaching assistant for Bible study. I enjoyed working with the children and trying to understand their unique learning styles.
