A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that with proper classroom management and an interesting delivery of lessons, every student has the potential to learn and achieve academic success. I use a number of methods to introduce the concepts to my students, including hands-on activities, use of manipulatives, computer generated presentations, role-playing, textbooks, video, etc. I feel that if I can find the proper modality along with allowing a student to explore on his own, then a student can achieve success in learning. My goal is to build a safe and stimulating learning environment, and to try to make learning interesting and fun during the challenging middle school years.

I am eclectic in my approaches towards teaching, ranging from Montessori and Classroom Without Walls, to Behaviorist and Cognitive approaches. I use what is observable, measurable, and works.
