I have previously worked in a laboratory where I had the opportunity to work with students rotating through my laboratory for school credit. I was an adjunct clinical instructor with the Department of Biotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences with University at Buffalo. Although some students were only there two weeks, most were there three to five months, and it was my responsibility to show them all the analyses that were performed in my laboratory, as well as make sure they understood the theory behind the analyses. Typically, most students I have worked with are fairly bright, it is just about finding the right way to explain the complicated science in plain english so that they can understand it.
