I love interacting with people. I like to think of myself as a people person and I've come to love teaching my classmates when they don't quite understand as well as I do. I think everyone has the ability to learn, it's just a matter of understand how we learn. Some soak it up just by listening in the classroom, some need to spend time on their own working through assignments so they can learn it through repetition. A Little Bit About Me...

I lived in Costa Rica in for 25 years and my Spanish is excellent. Because Spanish is my 2nd language I have some keen insights into how best to attack the grammar. I taught English as a second language while in Costa Rica and I have been teaching in a Dual language Program for the past 8 years. I feel competent to tutor students in the area of Spanish at all levels and to help Spanish speakers with their English skills.
I would be most comfortable tutoring if I had access to the student's teacher's syllabus, textbooks and /or student classwork, quizzes and exams. My goal would be to reinforce the areas that are being covered in the classroom to help the student achieve better understanding of the coursework.
