I began tutoring in the sixth grade. We did not have honor courses where I attended, so older students tutored younger students. In college I tutored many subjects to earn money for my tuition. After graduating, I worked in two different school systems as a remedial teacher. I even designed a new remedial reading and spelling program for the one school. From 1991-1998, I worked at a Christian elementary school, where I was a librarian, bookkeeper, and substitute teacher. I have also done private tutoring in Spelling, English, Composition, and Computer. I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. My experience with tutoring children is that we have made a difference in each other's lives. As one who received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, I've always loved education.
