I have taught college level courses for twenty-five years and have enjoyed it greatly. Most of teaching has been at private colleges with small class size. Chemistry is one of my top subjects! This is a difficult subject for many students, especially if they are not strong in math. I have always enjoyed helping people to understand these beginning concepts in a way that they can remember them and use them as they progress to other classes! M.S. in Chemistry plus 3 years Junior College teaching experience and 15 years of tutoring experience.

I obtained my Master's Degree with the intent to teach. I did teach for 3 years at a small Junior College, then moved into industry. However, even while I was working in industry, I tutored several students over the years. Several of my previous students have gone on to Pharmacy School, three have acquired their PharmD degrees. Chemistry is one of my top subjects! I am currently a Chemistry Major at the University of South Alabama. I have finished all but one chemistry course for my major requirement and am very proficient in the subject. I am going into my Senior year and plan to attend medical school after I graduate in the Spring of 2013.

I am very understanding and patient when I tutor because I know how frustrating it can be to not get a certain topic. I sometimes need a different approach to understand material myself so I will ensure that I take various approaches to the same problems until I am sure you or your child is proficient in the course material. This way no matter what the professor asks they will know how to answer questions and ace exams. If they just memorize things, they can get confused and get answers distorted.
