My comments on tutoring Microsoft PowerPoint : I have strong computer skills that will be an asset when helping students with their project work. I have strong knowledge of MS Suite and I am very much comfortable in teaching MS Power Point.

I am very well qualified tutor having extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I worked as a tutor with the Total Tutoring, Reno and A to Z tutoring, Reno. Also, I worked as a Substitute Teacher with the Carson City School District. I have tutored K-12 grade level students in Math and Science subjects. I enjoy tutoring students and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. As a part of my jobs, I developed student’s lesson plans, worked on their Individual Assessment Plans (IAPs) and instruct classes in School. My comments on tutoring Microsoft PowerPoint : All versions current to Office 365

I began my software training career in May 2000. With eight years of classroom, and small group based training, the remaining years have been primarily one-on-one tutoring. I currently teach at UNR Extended Studies and Washoe County Admin. I've taught every version in the Microsoft Office suite, from Office 97 through the current version (Office 365) Having used and taught the Adobe Creative Suite, I can also offer basic introductory assistance with those programs. Never tell a child when you can ask him.

For Science and Math I employ an inquiry-based method of teaching/exploration. This allows for more meaningful learning and gives the student the opportunity to learn on his or her own before being given instruction by the teacher. This method is aligned with the STEM initiative in the United States. For Language Arts, reading, and Spanish, I teach by individualizing instruction to each child, allowing for meaning-making and communication rather than simply rote learning of facts and vocabulary. I believe in combining a more traditional, rote approach with the more progressive whole-language approach to create a well-rounded literacy curriculum.
