BS Economics UNR (2015) - Graduated with honors, on the dean's list (3.80 + GPA) Accounting Tutor - UNR Tutoring Center - Worked for three years from my Sophomore year through my Senior year as a tutor in the Thompson Building at UNR. Primarily tutored ACC 201 and ACC 202 but also did quite a bit of classes in the Economic Spectrum, Econometrics, Statistics and introductory level mathematics.
Honestly, not sure how to answer this. I think the entire benefit of working with a private tutor is that the tutor is able to change and adapt to complement the student. Mathematics is a field that extends beyond a series of procedures as it taught far too widely these days. My stress is on conceptual understanding, as it is the key to understanding the subject. Even moreso than the procedures that we have been accustomed to viewing as being the core of Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, conceputal underpinnings are what the make the subject meaningful.
