I am very passionate about English, partly because I struggled with it myself. I never received an A in a high school English class until my senior year; yet, I received a BA in the subject only four short years after I received a D- in my AP English class during the second semester of my junior year in high school. I can relate to these students and their struggles because I was once in their shoes. I continued my studies in chemistry and additional areas of interest, including math, government, and economics. Before graduating I participated in an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at UC Riverside.
