A Little Bit About Me...

I have two years of experaince teaching in public schools and four years of experaince teaching in Christian schools. I have an advanced degree in information technology and a background in English education. I have learned something from each of my students in my yeears of teaching but I think that my first year taught me the most. My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I have spent the past 11 years as a language teacher and am currently completing my practicum to earn certification from a well-respected ELL certification program at University of Missouri-Columbia

In the classroom, I use a combination of cooperative learning, comprehensible input, teaching through music, functional grammar, teaching reading skills in the target language and scaffolding instruction to meet the needs of all my students.
I have spent the past eleven years instructing students in the area of language--both English and Spanish.
