I've been playing guitar/bass guitar for 15 years. Been in touring bands, help set up bands, and equipment. I have been playing classical guitar for the last 2 years and is very excited to explore this avenue. I find classical guitar more demanding than rock, jazz, blues put together. I have taught private music lessons for 20yrs. I have been employed as a chemist in the past for 20yrs. I have a BS in chemistry from HPU. With my science background and private music teaching experience I have been able to help students with their studies at school. I enjoy tutoring algebra most. I prefer to teach one on one.

I am trained to teach grade 11 & 12 of High School in philosophy, religion and/or social sciences.I taught these subjects as well as french from 1986 to 1993. From 1987 to date I ve been teaching philosophy, Systematic theology , Missions, and connex human and social sciences, in Universities and Colleges, mostly in Africa, and I taught six months at Pilgrims Theological Institute in Burlington, North Carolina, from November 2008 to April 2009. I use active modern teaching styles making sure that the summary of the teaching activity comes from the student and not a recipe from the teacher.The didactical approach depends on the subject I teach and the ability of my student.to learn and his psycho-pedagogical needs.

Math is one of the loves in my life. I get excited about doing it, learning more about it, and helping others excel in mathematics. I think there is a good mix between helping too much, and helping too little. In my teaching/coaching/tutoring, I try and see what the students weaknesses are at first, and then try and help them work on those areas. In math, it is critical to know the basics, because like some other subjects, math builds and builds. The concepts learned in elementary (addition, subtraction, etc), are used in more complex forms the rest of one's life. So for each stepping stone in math, it is critical to understand the basics, and move on from there. This is how I will try and teach students to help them achieve in mathematics. For over four years, I have been involved in private tutoring as well as teaching classes available to the public. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy helping others succeed. While completing my Bachelors in Business Administration, I developed a firm understanding and passion for economics, finance, and accounting.
