A Little Bit About Me...

My favorite aspect of coaching, teaching, and tutoring is the personal connection I build with my students. As a student, I did not adapt well to traditional educational settings, and so I seek to create a nontraditional environment for my students that involves kinetic, visual, and auditory stimulation. Finding my student's motivation to learn is key to my success as a teacher. I strive to make each learning experience new and meaningful. However, perfect practice makes perfect, and repetition is an important aspect of turning new material into "old hat."
I began my study of American Sign Language (ASL) at the tender age of 12, then studied Latin in high school with Mrs. Ellen Conrad. I obtained a degree in Fine Art from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2007. I have experience working in multiple artistic mediums. My art work has been displayed at Planet art gallery in Mt. Lebanon Pa and also at Erie Art Museum. I enjoy doing volunteer work, I taught cheer leading at St. Anne school in Pittsburgh pa. I have also taught dance classes at 3D Dance studio in Pittsburgh Pa.
