I use a lot of repetition and the asking of questions to ensure that students are learning concepts. I also try to give them analogies to help them remember things. I love working with children, as the oldest in a big family, I have often served as caretaker while my father is at work. I currently have an 8 year old younger brother who I'm working with as well as one in his Sophomore year of High school. I'm helping him with algebra and pre-calc.

To me chemistry has always been an exciting but often misunderstood science. The average person doesn't realize how much chemistry is around them and how chemistry is a fundamenal part of nature. I believe that relating chemistry to our everyday lives can be fundamental to having a better appreciation of the science. Getting the student recognize this can elp to instill a greater desire to master the subject. PC's have gone from a curiosity to now be a neccessity. Although software packages keep getting larger, they tend to operate in the same manner. I became a certified CRLA tutor and started tutoring my sophomore year of college; I've been tutoring ever since.
