Tutored 2-3 days a week for many elementary school students when I was in high school. While studying for my Masters in Education I realized that in order to be effective as an educator, I must be a lifelong learner. My goal is to pass on this philosophy to all my students. I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. The students I tutored always improved their grades dramatically and quickly. This gave me immense satisfaction! I always strive to make a difference in students' lives.
