I taught high school English for three years. My students ranged from far below basic to advanced. My students consistently showed improvement in their standardized test scores and over 95% of my students passed the course. Also, Over 95% of my sophomore passed the CAHSEE. My style of teaching is what I would call "upbeat". I like to involve the students so as to allow them an opportunity to feel they are part of the class. Lectures can lead to students losing interest. I incorporate a touch of humor, and later quiz the students on their lessons.
