Teaching is a difficult task. Everyone learns at a different pace and on their own level. Some students are quick learners and their teacher only needs to go over the lesson once; other students need to hear the subject content in a different form to understand it. Having said that, I can't explain my teaching style as a cut and dry formula. The skill level of each student and the way they process information will determine how I will present them with questions and explanations. As an Engineer in making I go through this process everyday where sometimes I have to learn and sometimes I have to teach. I work in a team, and try to make connection between material and some real life example. Just to show an example, the pythagorus theorem is really useful to work around were we make use of the hypotenuse to walk less from point a to b rather than going through the path.

As a tutor at Eastern University I came to the realization that not all students learned in the same way. In my experiences, I have found the best way to fascilitate the learning of mathematics is through visual instruction via a whiteboard and/or blackboard. After the student sees an example of a problem done, I like to sit down with the tutee and have them walk me through the problems to make sure they have a good understanding of both the way to do the problem as well as a stron conceptual understanding of the material.
