I have over seven years of experience in the German language, including a stint of living in Germany for 4 months. I also completed a German Studies minor from NC State. I can help prepare someone for an AP German exam, as I passed with a 4 on my exam in 2010.
I am a laid-back, but persistent teacher who has an arsenal of techniques (which I learned from some of the best German teachers). In addition to using styles that worked for me when I was learning German, I have my own style and have always worked well with middle- and high-schoolers. Being fresh out of college, I could obviously work with college kids, too.

My comments on tutoring German : I have two years' experience with German. I took German while at University and I can easily guide someone through the basics of German Conversation and Grammar.

During my high school and university careers, I have focused primarily on languages and language acquisition. I have studied 12 different languages and I have obtained varying degrees of proficiency in each of them: Latin, Romanian, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, German, Danish, Swedish, Greek, Scottish Gaelic, and Welsh. I have six children of my own and know that every child learns differently, even when they come from the same family. I believe the majority of children can master the material they are presented in school, but it is a matter of time. Many children take a little more time to understand the concepts and master the skills needed to move on to the next level. Sadly many of these children aren't given the time to do it and are just passed on to the next level. By doing this they fall further and further behind until they become discouraged to the point of quitting. I desire to reach those children.
