While at Springfield College I started tutoring some of my fellow students in the areas of math and science for a little extra cash. I have always wanted to mimic the kind of tutoring I received as a struggling math student in middle school. I was never the best at math until I started to receive tutoring and everything started to click. Biology is one of my top subjects! Received an A in Biology at Richland Community College in 2010, and received the distinguished award "Most Outstanding Biology Student of the Year" for 2010/2011 Academic School Year within the college. I also received a B in Microbiology the same year. I plan to continue my education in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and eventually Neurobiology.

After earning my BS in zoology with a minor in psychology, I worked as an educator at a local zoo working with elementary aged children. This was my first experience teaching and I soon realized how fun and rewarding educating could be. I continued my education to achieve my MS in behavior, ecology, and evolution. While working towards my MS degree I taught labs for 2 years for both majors and non-majors ranging from biological concepts to taxonomy, organismal biology, and general biology. I have really enjoyed teaching through coaching. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with all different types of athletes who each learn things a little bit differently.
