I have earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education and a master's degree in teaching with an emphasis in learning disabilities. My teaching certificate was issued for music (K-12) as well as elementary education. I taught for 9+ years, and was employed as a teacher's assistant and after-school facilitator as well. I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach most subjects and have no issue working in difficult classrooms as I have grown accustomed to such environments working in St. Louis.
Being no stranger to difficult classroom settings, I understand that ideal teaching conditions rarely exist.
