I believe the best way to improve Mandarin is through speaking it. Therefore, I will stress on the oral portion more. I think reading and discussing about articles on different subjects is a good way to help students feel comfortable about speaking Chinese. Since graduating from Northern Illinois University, I have had several experiences teaching children at the elementary and middle school age.
