I received my Bachelor's of Science in Genetic Engineering, with a concentration in Forensic Science, and a minor in Mathematics. I am currently working on my Master's of Science in Biology. My diverse education has provided me with a wide range of knowledge in chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I was an America Reads America Counts tutor for K-12 students from 2005-2009 and I have been working as a graduate assistant in introductory biology courses since January 2010.

As an undergraduate at Penn State, I became interested in education through positive experiences with my own teachers. At this time, I was an active high school volleyball coach, an environmental science teaching assistant, and an environmental science camp counselor. Earning a BS in Biology grounded my content knowledge in both Biology and Science and propelled my education in writing, lab experience, field experience, and technology.
