Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I have recently been studying and implementing hydrogen generating systems and the effects of injecting it into internal combustion engines.
I believe teaching is best learned though practical examples (especially math). because I used to say the same thing that I'm sure that kids today are saying. I love working with children and feel that is my God given talent. I believe that all children can and will learn with the proper time given to them. All children learn differently. I have been working with elementary children for 19 years. I have expericence as a Title 1 Teacher Assistant, Special Education aide, Substitute teacher and Sunday school teacher. After graduation I taught Art and pre-school classes for the Springfield, MO Parks Dept. I was a librarian at the Springfield Art Museum. I worked for the Dept. of Social Services, Div. of Youth Services for 14 years and assisted the teachers with the education ciriculum.
