I am certified to teach secondary mathematics and social studies by the state of OHIO. I also enjoy teaching college students and tutoring on a weekly basis. My experiences as an educator have been numerous and continuous throughout my life. I have a Bachelor in Education 1-8th (Science) I have taught all subjects. Actually I am multilingual. I am native Spanish speaker; I can read, write; translate in my language of origin. I also have five years of French, I read and translate better then speaking fluently the reason I really do have anyone to practice speaking the French language. Currently I am teaching myself Farsi (Persian) language, beside Farsi, Japanese. I worked the Berlitz language agency, in which they taught me how to teach any language in the world without really know the language. This method is called the “Berlitz method” The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori.

As before, since I do not have classroom teaching experience I'm not exactly sure what my style would be. Initially I feel I should explain that I do not stand a strict method. From the people I have tutored before I have learned that you need to adapt to different situations and different needs. Some students need more regimented discipline such as an outline of everything for every day and others need just a general idea of what is required, etc, etc. I am confident, and proud, in the fact that I can adapt to any situation. I may not have the experience, but I do have the knowledge and I do have the passion. Having attended Heidelberg College and receiving a Bachelor's degree in English, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Theater/Communications, I feel I have the necessary experience in order to educate others. As a holder of a BS in Chemistry, I have a very strong grasp of science and mathematics, as well as a passion for the written word. I have volunteer experience tutoring my fellow students at Eastwood High School, out of which came two years' of summer tutoring for one of the individuals I helped while volunteering. My methods are amorphous and change to the needs of the student, but typically fall in the range of serious, yet enthusiastic and fun. I feel the need for tutoring is the need to simply obtain information in a form that is different from the one presented in the classroom. As a tutor, I work to break things down into their constituent pieces and explain each of these pieces in turn.
