A Little Bit About Me...

I like to get a sense of what the student already knows and try to build on that knowledge.
I have tutored on a volunteer basis with the Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program for more than a year. I have also tutored privately. My experience has been with adults, however, I would like to add experience working with secondary school students. I can help with SAT's, MCAS, and just provide support for a student who needs some extra help.

During my undergraduate career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I obtained a wealth of knowledge in the fields of math and science. I did this by striving for excellence in the classroom and participating in cutting edge research with professors in the Entomology and Organic Chemistry departments. My extensive knowledge of the subjects I’ve studied has allowed me to assist my friends in understanding complex and difficult problems. This past year I privately tutored classmates in both Statistics and Organic Chemistry.
I believe the best way for someone to learn something is through application and repetition. i have my bachelor's degree in mathematics. I also have experience tutoring people who want to get their GED and high school students. I have always loved math, back to elementary school, and I have always done well at it. When I was a Junior high school student, I started an advanced program in mathematics from columbia university.
