I am currently in my final semester at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in the Secondary English Education program. I am a full-time student teacher at Milwaukee High School of the Arts in the Milwaukee Public School system; I teach English 9 and British Authors (10th grade English). I was a part-time student teacher last fall at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts, and taught 7th grade English. I have 24 years of teaching in the elementary grades. I taught in a one-room for seven years. I taught fifth grade for 11 years, and second grade for six years. My experience with all the elementary grade levels means I am able to craft a program to help your child with reading. My 316 WI Reading Teachers license allows me to diagnose your child's reading problems and create a program to advance their reading skills. I have recently returned to school to pursue my teaching license in secondary education in English. My studies in psychology taught me the importance of positive reinforcement and constructive communication to the learning process.
