Because I enjoy the learning environment and have been in one for 16 years, I have learned much about it. I am a very hands on type of educator. I have a lot of patience and I am willing to take the necessary time to make sure that whomever I am working with can understand concepts in terms that they can understand and apply. I make it my mission to ensure that every student that I have taught will always remember what they have learned.
I have worked recently at Nationwide Finance as a technical writer, and graduated from Saint Vincent College with a degree in International Business, with minors in German and Finance. I have volunteered at an elementary school teaching history. I have also tutored fellow students at college in Corporate finance, and investment finance. I obtained my BA in Social Work and have worked in that field since 1993. In 2005 I began a part time job as an Adult Education instructor for Sentinel Career Center where my primary focus was language arts/writing. I was part of the STAR reading program where I became certified to teach adults to read. In this program and as a GED instructor I have tutored many individuals of varying ages, education levels and backgrounds.
