I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, even a minor in marketing to help shed light on that side of the trade. I have experience in 3 Graphic Design positions. I graduated from West Virginia University in 2008 with honors receiving my Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree specializing in Graphic Design. I moved to Columbus,Ohio two and a half years ago to work for a landscape architecture firm doing web design. In November of 2008 I started working for Safe Auto Insurance Company and now hold the title of Emerging Media and Design Coordinator. I handle all internal and external print and web design for the company. I have tutored interns as well as coworkers on how to use various design programs. I am a visual person so I like to teach by example. I will usually explain how to do a process, show an example, and then ask the student to repeat. This not only helps them learn the necessary tools and skill, but also gives them the feeling of accomplishment when they can see the actual process live right in front of them.

We were held to very high standards and were taught ways to apply the design and marketing principles to any kind of job offered to us. I was in my sophomore year of college when I was named Sophomore class representative, and later president of Praxis, the student organization for graphic design on campus. I won the leadership award, the top honor in the department for my services as president of both Praxis, and AIGA, the professional association for design.
