Helping Your Child Reach His Potential

I have tutored elementary children one on one for about 2 years now. I did my student teaching at Friendship Christian School in Raleigh. I enjoy teaching children to read and am proficient in teaching mathematics to younger children. I do well teaching one on one with no distractions. I am firm, but not mean. When it is time to tutor, nothing else is allowed but schoolwork.
My thing is repetition. Writing everything out and practice, practice, practice. Memorize to learn, not memorize just to pass a test. I want the kids to KNOW their material.

I am attending school for early childhood degree. Working with children and others have always been apart of me. Throughout school I am always helping and tutoring someone. Teaching someone something that I already know and something they should know or what to know makes me happy. I substitute before and volunteer my time a lot with daycare, Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and even at church. I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6) as well as Reading Certification (K-12). Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I love when I can help others!

I am going to school to become a teacher in the grades of kindergarten through 5th, I have been a nanny for several people and have enjoyed it completely!
