Physics is one of my top subjects!

In terms of online tutoring. I make use of a headset microphone and a touch tablet. As well as many free online applications, such as a whiteboard, Skype, and educational resources. During session I prefer to use the course work and text assigned to the student. Doing so allows for the structure of our sessions to easily mesh with those of the course.

I have multiple degrees in computer and electrical engineering from Purdue University. I also have a partial degree in Accelerated Associates in Culinary Arts from Kendall College and a few classes in Computer Science in the Masters program in Computer Science and the University of Illinois Chicago. My early teaching and learning style was to do as many problems that were thrown at me in class or the text. While getting an Associates degree in Math, I tutored college math, algebra, physics, chemistry, & calculus. The subject I like to tutor the most is differential calculus. One young lady I tutored named Glenda Lenahan, having made an F on her first calculus test, requested that I tutor her. When she took the second test she mad a 98. I jokingly asked her what she missed! May 27, 2011, my job was eliminated. I had been helping my son with his calculus and physics and found that I still remembered much of what I knew before. So, why not tutor again!

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is entirely dependent on who I'm teaching. I try to prod and ask leading questions, while also looking for how it is I can relate the subject matter to the student. I consider it a failure of mine if I am ever forced to recommend a student memorizes something that they ought to understand on a deeper level.
