My comments on tutoring Earth Science : I took Earth Science my Freshman year of high school I received A's and B's for the quarter and a B for the whole year.

I am currently a senior at Sherando High School in Stephens City, VA. I have always been and A and B student. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1300 on my SATs. I love to help others out in any way possible. I love to meet new people and help them achieve in school so they can a have promising future! I have taken Honors World History I and II, I have taken College Prep English 11 and am currently in College Prep English 12. I am in my high school’s Marching band and Symphonic band; I play the clarinet and bass clarinet, and have been in band for 7 years. Band is a passion of mine and I absolutely love every minute of it. I have not had much experience in tutoring, but I have helped many friends out in many subjects. Upon graduation from West Virginia University I received a BS degree in Forensic and Investigative Science with an emphasis in Chemistry and Examination. The emphasis means that I have chemistry qualifications required to perform analysis in a lab. I have taken everything from Chemistry in high school to several courses beyond Organic I and II. I was a member of the NHS and had the responsibility of tutoring students in high school level math, chemistry, and biology. During my internship with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, I aided in teaching courses to a youth group centered around Forensics. This past semester I worked as a Teaching Assistant and taught a general organic chemistry lab.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Frostburg State University with two bachelor degrees, BS in Geography and BS in Earth Science. I have tutored students in college level geography classes for two years through the Tutoring Center on Frostburg State's campus. In addition, I developed the Geography Help Group which provided assistance to students in upper-level geography and earth science courses including, but not limited to, Cartography, Research Methods in Geography, Surface Water Hydrology, Geology, Soils, and GIS. The Geography Help Group has been successful program for two years.
I modify my teaching style to the needs of each student. I communicate concepts, theories and facts using multiple methods, reaching individuals of all learning types, to ensure a thorough understanding of the material.
