If necessary, I separate an idea into simpler terms, and help students learn each term before continuing. I give examples which illustrate a point or demonstrate a procedure. At times, my students write short essays, which I critique for sentence structure, word choice, tense matching, and organization. When a student is reading aloud, I follow along, interjecting if necessary with the correct pronunciation or the proper syllable emphasis.

During my career in the pharmaceutical industry, I conducted several training classes and often prepared all of the training materials and class content. Beginning in 1998, I was hired by Cuesta College of San Luis Obispo as a part time instructor. In that capacity, I have taught a variety of subjects including Accounting, English as a second language, Spanish, Italian, Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Computer usage for Senior Citizens, and Personal Income Tax Preparation.
