As a Master's student in English Literature at Florida State University, not only did I hone my own writing skills via academic papers and presentations; I also gained valuable teaching and tutoring experience as a teaching assistant. While enrolled, I constructed curriculum for and taught 2 sections of Freshman Composition per semester, wherein I instructed classes and smaller workshop groups in grammar, syntax, and composition. I have over 37 years experience managing peoply in Supply Chain management and material acquisition. In this role I designed and wrote courses. Using Power Point presentations I taught courses in my field to over 100 students in classes as small as ten to as large as fifty. I also tutored children for two years in the Leon County literacy Volunteer program and one year in the ESOL program. I enjoy teaching and helping young people.
