All learning starts with a question, both by teacher and student alike. My role is both as teacher (coach and guide) and student (questioner). I should employ a variety of questioning techniques to better understand strengths and weaknesses, then prescribe remedies tailored for individual strengths and weaknesses, facilitating the learning process and desired outcome. Most people know intuitively how they learn, as well as which modalities work best for them. Paying attention, listening, probing with questions, observing responses, being patient is the first part of my job. Often times the student knows what works best and can even tell you. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS in Political Science, I am currently completing my MA degree at Barry Univeristy in Tallahassee, Fla. I was a Resource Teacher and wokred in the Innovation School of Execellence. I was Executive Director at a Christian Academy in Live Oak, Florida. I was also Director of the SES program (that was a sub-site)at our academy. I staffed 15 employees, 5 of which was retired accredited teacher. I also taught in our SES program.
I enjoy working with children. I know that all children are capable of learning and they believe if you believe. We taught the State of Florida ABECA style of teaching. We in the teaching profession are the basis of a child's future, this is not to be held litely or taken for granted. They are our future.

A Little Bit About Me...

I taught public school for 4 years before getting a masters degree in Religious Education with a Concentration in Childhood Education. I wanted to complement my undergraduate Elementary Education degree. Therefore, I choose the childhood education concentration at seminary. Then I was a Assoicate Pastor for Children for over 13 years where I supervised paid workers and planned activities for a children's ministry at a local church. I had to maintain a budget for this ministry in the amount of $38,000. Over the course of all of these years, I have learned a vast array of skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

The first year of teaching... Nothing could have taught me more about teaching or myself than this past year. My teaching style was solidified; my confidence in classroom management was grounded; and my teacher judgment was clarified. I am a gentle teacher, but not timid. I establish rapport by loving and respecting my students, first and foremost. It is important that they trust me before they can learn from me.
