Teaching the way that my students learn best.

I believe in using real life situations, scenarios, and actively using technology. Learning never ceases; so, why should you?

My teaching style is a mixture of strict and lenient. I try to form a connection with students and apply that to my teaching method (i.e. incorporating a similar hobby in a question in order for the student to understand the material better). I expect my students to give me and the other students respect- never speaking while others are speaking, no disruptions, ect. This method of teaching has shown effective and a fun learning environment. I base my curriculum around the importance of reading. Reading is the easiest and most effective way of obtaining knowledge and using it in the world.

As an undergraduate, I participated in two tutoring programs, over the span of two years, teaching middle school children afterschool and teaching Dominican immigrants during a summer ESL program. While in high school, I also was appointed by my high school principal to be an assistant instructor/tutor for an AP World History and AP U.S History course.
