I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.
You will see from my resume below that I have strong experience in math, science, engineering and computers. It is worth mentioning that I am also skilled in english (5 on my AP World Lit exam) and art (voted most artistic in my senior high school class). A Little Bit About Me...

My classrooms involve learning-centered groups in a workshop approach. I find that students are encouraged by the examples of other writers and learners at their own levels. I provide a great deal of individual feedback on assignments. I encourage the imitation of examples in writing and the discovery of other writing styles. I am sensitive to the needs and learning needs of each student.
I have always been a reader and a writer. In my degree work, I learned how to inspire others to read critically and write well. I have many years experience as a college-level instructor. In 2005 I obtained a degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish and in 2009 obtained a masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have worked with children of normal intelligence and what cognitive disabilities. Although my degrees are not directly related to math, I use mathmatical concepts daily.
