During my undergraduate work I was dedicated to my education and earned my Bachelor’s degree majoring in both Pre-professional Zoology and Environmental Studies. I continued to pursue my interests in biology and ecology during my Master’s degree work in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. Additionally, I have enhanced my communication and writing skills by writing scientific papers, research grants and by presenting my scientific research at various professional conferences. I have extensive educational experience in science, especially wildlife biology, conservation science and ecology. A Little Bit About Me...

As a student-athlete at Illinois State University, I learned many invaluable skills. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Physics as well as minors in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. Earning this degree as well as two minors has allowed me to gain a large amount of knowledge in both science and math. Being a student-athlete also taught me great leadership, hard work, teaching and time management skills. In my final year at Illinois State University, I taught a physics lab course. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a BS in Biological Sciences and I am currently working towards my certificate in teaching secondary education. I have experience teaching in lab settings, community college classrooms as well as tutoring at the high school and middle school level.
