During my years as an undergraduate English major, I was drawn to the world of teaching and tutoring through two part-time positions, including one on-campus, with college-aged students, and one with elementary to high school-aged students. I loved seeing my students' pleasure at learning how to comprehend the words they read, to assimilate that information into an in-depth college essay, to finally grasp that one bit of knowledge that so alluded them. Completion of a BSBA degree in Management of Information Systems has given me valuable experience in a wide array of business functions as well as a team based and case driven experience over four years. The strongest of my skills are in reading, math, and technology suites such as all Microsoft Office products. I have taught, under minimal supervision by the standard teacher for one year on the fifth grade level. I have tutored ESL, "at-risk," and conflict prone students in english, math, reading, science, and civics.
