The position that I applied for is to teach/tutor College Algebra or advanced mathematics and physics. In term of education, I have a degree in Electrical Engineering with many hours in Mathematics. Regarding experience, I had taught Math from Entry Level up to Calculus at JLF University
Teaching is my passion. In the near future, I don't see myself doing anything else but that. My main objective in teaching is not only to promote learning of the subject matter, but also to help the students learn to think logically, learn problem-solving methods and techniques clearly and concisely, explain step-by-step processes and provide valid reasons for logical arguments. A Little Bit About Me...

During my 13 years in the Navy, I have always excelled in my academics and I welcomed the opportunity to serve as a mentor to my peers as well as subordinates. I have been active in every school that my children have attended and currently work as a tutor occasionally for my sons 8th grade AVID class (math & science) at Galaxy Middle School, Deltona, FL. I have extensive knowledge in many fields that helped me achieve my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Criminal Justice. I also have volunteered at my local church for 3 years and am active in the childrens ministry, where I serve as a mentor and role model.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching for seven years-mostly math and some language arts. The math teaching included geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, basic high school math and middle school math. One year my students had the highest improvement in standardized math test scores in the district, for the lower level students. My student test scores have always been high so I retained the scores. I tutored psychology for two years in college for a Buffalo State College program called SEEK, and received many compliments from the students. In Rutherford County, TN, I worked with medically homebound students and found I was very good working with the disabled students. I am also fluent in the Spanish language.
