I am a math tutor with a college degree in math and a sum total of twelve years experience in tutoring math exclusively to students age 13 to adult. I love to tutor math and see students gain the math knowledge necessary to succeed in their math courses. I put emphasis on mathematical theory and in tutoring I exhibit precision, clarity, and most of all patience. No question is stupid and no student is stupid. My comments on tutoring Statistics : A+ in Stats 100 and A in Stats 450 at The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Also I just tutored my good friend this past semester in Statistics and she went from a 30% to a 90%.

Every child can learn, so every child deserves to learn.

I have been teaching children younger than myself since I started teaching Sunday school classes and became a adolescent influence in my previous youth group. I new all along I was going to be a teacher. I have been tutoring my younger nephews since they are now in grade level courses. I have also had experience in the classroom as observing mentor teachers and assisting them in lesson plan creations. I will be enrolled in methods course this coming fall for my Elementary Education Professional Teaching program.
I teach in the way of Scaffolding. I give the learner all the assistance they need until they no longer need it any more. I start by giving a lot of cues and help with each step. Then I slowly take the training wheels off and each time, I let them show me more and more what they can do with out the help. I hope to create leaders.
