My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : I taught second grade for three years; can tutor in phonics and can help improve reading skills.

For the past 23 years, I have been working with the Testing Program for the state of North Carolina. I'm currently the English Content Specialist for Grades 3 and 4 Reading. I help to write the End-of-Grade Reading Tests for NC Public Schools. I have taught high school English for one year and second grade for 3 years. I 19 and have an Associate in Science and an Associate in Arts. I have been taking college classes since I was a Jr in High School , and I have been tutoring my friends and younger relatives since the 6th grade. Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.
