My teaching style is prescriptive, student based. I teach based on how the particular student can grasp and understand what is being taught because students have their own methods and mental tools to open themselves to what is being taught, so that they learn. I, the teacher, learn from the student how he/she understands what is being taught and fit the subject into a student's frame for understanding.
In 2010, I contracted with the Hamilton County Board of Education, HCBE, and successfully taught 3 courses: 2 Algebra II courses and 1 Introduction to Calculus at Red Bank High School. I have earned a bachelors degree in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University. I have more than 100 hours of volunteer experience in all fields of area due to being in organizations like Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Sigma Pi and President's Pride throughout my college career. I believe I'm qualified to teach computers because I use it everyday and know basically most of all the Microsoft Office. English/LA and Social Studies probably not as qualified but I know the basics, if I did not I would not have a Bachelor's degree right now.
