My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : Has been teaching trigonometry at the college level

My teaching philosophy is very material and audience dependent and because of that, it is very difficult for me to provide a general and universal approach. It acknowledges the fact that people have different attention spans, learning processes, academic backgrounds, and life experiences. I also individualize information sharing based on questions and body language. I constantly monitor the on-going class discussions, homework assignments, and review sheets to optimize the learning process. I believe that by letting the student try to answer the problem by them self is the best way of learning. I will try to guide them down the right path, but even a wrong answer can teach you a lesson. I also believe that practice is the best way to become good at science or math, like a basketball player practice basketball to become better, so must a student.
