A Little Bit About Me...

I have always valued the importance of a quality education and have encouraged friends with no college ambition to start working on their degrees. I am not, however, an elitist. I think every endeavor is a learning experience, but there are basic skills that are necessary to be successful, such as grammar, spelling, and professionalism. My experience in formal teaching is mostly in college-level public speaking and coaching Little League, but I am a proficient and tedious writer. I am also familiar with APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and BlueBook formatting styles. Coming from a family of educators, I knew from an early age that I would become a teacher myself; therefore, all the steps taken to prepare for my professional life have been to enable me to be the best teacher I can be. I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of South Alabama. I received classroom teaching experience at a local middle school and as a university instructor.
