Prior to pursuing my teaching degree, I operated an in-home daycare center for ten years for ages 6 mos. and up. SES tutor since October of 2011- Provided SES tutoring for elementary aged students in Reading, Comprehension and Language. Tutor for high school aged students. There are many buzz words and phrases applied to teachers and teaching styles. While I perfectly respect all of these new theories and methods of both teaching and learning, it must not be forgotten that each student is unique in their style and commitment. Otherwise, they would not need tutoring! Creativity and patience are the keys to discovering the specific style that best suites the student. That being said, I do of course have a "style".
