I have tutored many levels of Algebra for a little over three semesters. I was always the go-to girl for any Algebra question my peers may have. I'm so passionate about the subject and I have an excellent ability to get the concept through to people. I'm a young person as well, so many students feel comfortable with me.

Experience: I was a math tutor on campus for a year. Even though I am not minority in math, I have taken and understand concepts through calculus IV. For the past two years I have done undergraduate research in polymer science.

All throughout high school I tutored younger kids with homework or specific needs in classes. I'm very flexible and very hands-on with my teaching. As a visual learner, it helps me to have a visual aid whenever I can and I employ that in my teaching. My strategy is to make learning fun for the students. If I can't enjoy what I'm learning, then I won't learn it and as such I strive to make whatever I'm teaching enjoyable for the student.

I stopped working in the hospitals when my oldest child reached the age of 5, so that I could teach my children at home. The four of them are now grown and successful. As an educator, I nurture my students and provide an emotionally, stable atmosphere while maintaining high expectations for all. My goal is to instill the love and passion of learning in every student that I teach. I do not want to touch one life; I want to touch the life of every child that walks through my classroom door. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. I loved working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but it was extremely hard finding a job doing that in my area. Due to that fact, I started tutoring as many kids from the local schools as much as possible and I loved doing it.
