Rashmi P - Millbrook, AL 36054 (28.2 mi) - World History Tutor - $34.00/hr.
I am great with kids of all ages. My future goal in life is to become a family dentist. Therefore, I have grasped the act of patience very well, and nothing pleases more than helping others in any way possible. All my students would tell you I am very fun and easy to work with. I like to listen to what my students know and have troubles with first, and respond to their tutoring sessions with what they need to most. I know all students are not the same, and I like to work according to each student's individual personality. I am very flexible with times, and even if sessions run longer than normal then it is okay with me. I am here to help with the student's needs and not just to make money. I just recently graduated with my Master's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a Che

I believe that there are 3 types of learners:
1.Oral : learn by hearing
2.Visual : learn by seeing
3.Kinesthetic: learn by hearing, seeing and using their hands
The Oral learner is a “teacher’s pet” because they are the students that will listen in class, barely take notes and do quite well in school.
The Visual learner must “look on” as a teacher reads, not taking notes but to follow along in a book.
The Kinesthetic learner usually has to listen, take notes, read along but will also tap their foot or a pencil. These types of “distractions” actually help a kinesthetic learner. I have a degree in Early Childhool however, I have taught Biology for 9th and 10th graders in a private school. My husband, being prior military kept us moving so I have been a substitute for many years. I also taught my son until the 4th grade and he is now attending private school.

I enjoy assisting and helping students to achieve their desired goals in life. I have been a mentor tutor for sixteen years and I get great satisfaction watching students learn and attain their goals and achievements. I also enjoy motivating children to pursue their dreams and never give up on any subject and study hard as well. I have a patient, easy going personality with children and I always stress to them to do their best. Education is the key for children at all ages and I always encourage them to always push themselves to be the best. I can proudly say that I have made a tremendous difference in many children lives. My bachelor of science degree in businss administration has allowed me pursue my career goals as a computer programmer analyst while i was employed at Alabama State University where I assisted the faculty and staff with computerized reports for students as welll a
