I also focused on trying to help people by teaching resume writing and job interviewing workshops at my university’s Career Development office. Helping fellow students further their careers was very satisfying and inspiring. Upon graduation, I counseled, trained, and equipped American and foreign college-level and graduate students for a non-profit. Later, in graduate school, I worked in Student Affairs, holding workshops, hosting social events, resourcing students and managing print projects. I tutored four different children (1st-5th grade) over the course of four years for the Teton Literacy Program, a non-profit group located in Jackson, Wyoming. I met with each child after school at the facility or the local public library for hour-long sessions, working on grammar, pronunciation, and writing, focusing on each students' strengths and weaknesses and helping them catch up to their appropriate grade level as well as building their confidence. In addition, I worked on the I-CAN book project, through the Literacy Program, coaching a second grade class with the creation and assimilation of a story book.
