Professional but friendly English ESOL teacher

Teaching experience in class environments and one-to one is over 7 years. I'm one of those lucky ones who loves their profession! I'm a friendly but demanding tutor students feel comfortable to learn with. I also speak Russian, German, some Spanish and a little bit Italian. I tried a modern form of teaching in the beginning of 2011 - teaching online, it's very creative and convenient. If you live close, we can have lessons in person, at the library or at home.
Depending on the area we need to work, the focus of the lesson will vary, but more often my students need all four skills to develop (speaking, listening, writing and reading). Reading is one of my top subjects! As a Title I teaching assistant, I have spent the past 5 years teaching reading skills to small groups (no more than 6 students) and one-on-one individual teaching. Learning to read and reading comprehension are vital skills for students to master in order to excel in all areas of learning.

I absolutely love teaching and working with children. Children learn in unique and individual ways and sometimes struggle in school work because they learn at a different pace than the class as a whole. Individual and small group instruction greatly benefits these children in many ways. They have a chance to ask questions, to deal with specific areas of difficulty and to have better self-esteem when they discover they can learn and master the challenges of reading, writing, and math.
