I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to teach using a hands-on approach. I believe the best way to learn is to do or at least attempt to do. I really find satisfaction when I see the “light bulb” go off and there is a glimmer if understanding in the eyes of my pupil.
For the past 10 years I have been teaching a wide variety of students ranging in age from their 80’s to 8. I obtained my BS in Information Technology which gives me a vast knowledge of computer applications, networking, and technical communications. I have also worked in a higher academic institution and have extensive knowledge of grammatical skills as well as different formats for composing research papers. In order to be successful in the business or psychology world, one has to have great writing and verbal skills to talk to clients and write up reports of findings. A Little Bit About Me...

As the daughter of an illerate parent, I have learned the value of being able to read and that of an education. My education is the second most important thing to me. I am the single mother of two children, in order to support them while attaining my degree I cleaned houses. This experience only solidified , in my mind, the importance of education. While pursuing my degree in English, I learned how to communicate my thoughts through writing and researching for various papers in different subjects. Raised in a disadvantaged social-economic environment, I sought success by joining the military; traveling and learning about the world. Upon my retirement I decided to give back by bringing the diversity of the world into the classroom. I graduated college cum laude and served as the President, International English Honor Society; Sigma Tau Delta.
