Multiple Strategies Used to Manifest Understanding

I am a kinesthetic, visual learner and that is how I like to teach. I was not one of those students who could hear a concept once and apply the it the next second with total understanding. I needed to draw situations out, picture guides, analogies, and other strategies that made it possible for my mind to grasp and understand. In response to growing up with the continuous difficulty of facing teachers who were not fans of nonlinguistic learning, I found a passion in tutoring and teaching in a way that allows students to have multiple opportunities to understand.

I worked as a private home tutor in Singapore (1992-1993) teaching G.C.E chemistry and elementary subjects and also in Bangkok, Thailand from 1993-1995. I received a certificate of "TESOL-Teaching English to speakers of other languages" in Bangkok. I also worked as a part time instructor in ECC Thailand teaching ESL. I worked as a Business English teacher in Hotel Management School and St. John's College in Bangkok while I was staying there before I came to U.S. in 1996.
